In their bookGoogle Volume 1(2013), they replaced the 21,110 words and meanings in the English Pocket Dictionary with the first image appearing in a Google Images search. Some images were obvious, others comical or downright shocking
The illustrated dictionary highlighted the search engine’s biases and limitations, as well as the relative poverty of results presumed to be most relevant.
