Glass is a wonderful material that has been used for centuries in food preparation.
Glass is a very safe material to use. It is chemical free so there is no risk of chemicals getting transferred into your food.
When glass is tempered, it can resist high temperatures and it can also be flame resistant. This makes it versatile and it can be used for cooking, on stoves, and for storing food in addition to serving.
Glass is non-porous. This means that it does not absorb the smells and tastes of the food. Food does not absorb odors from previously cooked foods. Glass is not chemically reactive, it can then be used in cooking with any kind of food without worrying about the degree of acidity or other reactive properties of different foods.
The glass is easy to clean. It is dishwasher safe, it does not need special maintenance.
