The protocol consists of appropriating and copying an iconic comic strip while integrating variations developed by Ilan Manouach.
By challenging the authority of the creative industry, artist and researcher Ilan Manouach proposes conceptual comics as an artistic practice. It aims to distance the source work in order to claim an expanded form of authorship—here extended to all the micro-workers.
The Peanuts minus Schulz operation reveals the mechanisms of creativity in the making and the potential of an artistic form in flux when it is fed by the peripheral vision of an interconnected precariat.
