The Danish furniture designer Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) is known and appreciated worldwide for his sophisticated chairs, but few people are familiar with his masterful watercolors.
Throughout his career, his workshop sketches were often finalized in watercolor. On one hand, his craftsmanship tied him to tradition, while on the other, his artistic temperament sought novelty and innovation.
