Barena Venezia is a family-owned Italian company that has had a significant influence on men's and women's fashion in Italy and beyond over the past decades. It introduced the concept of casual yet elegant dressing by utilizing workwear fabrics. The company was founded in 1993 by Sandro Zara, who discovered patterns and tailoring books in the archives of wool mills in Venice. The brand name, Barena, reflects the rural lifestyle of Venetian inhabitants and the cultural importance of the sea.
