Barena Venezia is a family-owned Italian brand that has had a significant influence on men’s and women’s fashion in Italy and beyond over the past decades. It introduced the concept of casual elegance using workwear fabrics. Founded in 1993 by Sandro Zara, who discovered patterns and sewing books in the archives of Venetian wool mills, the brand’s name, Barena, refers to the rural lifestyle of Venice’s inhabitants and the cultural importance of the sea.
