Simone Fan was born in Germany, far from the ocean, and fell in love with coastal life after moving to Malibu. Also a clothing enthusiast, she soon discovered that finding classic, comfortable, chic, post-beach clothing was a bit of a challenge. In 2020, Simone came across a photo of Pablo Picasso in his studio wearing a terry cloth polo shirt that inspired her brand. She decided to create the perfect line of terrycloth clothing.
