Barena Venezia is a family-owned Italian company with significant influence on both men's and women's fashion in Italy and abroad over the past decades. It introduced the concept of dressing casually with elegance by using workwear fabrics. The company was founded in 1993 by Sandro Zara, who discovered patterns and tailoring books in the archives of wool mills in Venice. The brand name, Barena, refers to the rural lifestyle of the Venetian inhabitants and the cultural importance of the sea.
