These are probably among the most beautiful books in the Naturalist’s Pocket Library (three volumes). Their author, Charles Flahault, was a renowned botanist of the early 20th century. They will delight botanists, the curious, and anyone who loves beautiful flowers and plants.
These three volumes are among the first illustrated and colorized popular science works on botany. Charles Flahault (1852–1935) was a famous botanist who notably founded the Institute of Botany in Montpellier. The reproduction of the watercolor drawings is exceptional.
