In the early 1990s, JUNGMAVEN founder Robert Jungmann became passionate about stopping clear-cutting practices that were devastating the planet — and he knew that hemp cultivation offered a solution to this problem, as well as many other environmental issues. At the time, hemp wasn’t considered a fashion material, and Rob’s idea to design a high-quality hemp T-shirt came from his desire to show the industry and the public the incredible potential of hemp — both to help heal the planet and to become a fashionable textile.
