Inspired by 1940s vintage dress watches in decagon and octagon shapes, the Merci Instruments Beaumarchais H02 Limited Edition for Hodinkee demonstrates that a timepiece is not limited to round or square shapes to represent beauty.
With its striking octagon shape, the H02 demonstrates multiple levels of depth, revealing new subtleties with every glance.
To complete the case design, the watch is fitted with an 18mm honey-brown leather strap and steel buckle.
All other straps are sold separately.
The 36mm case has a superimposed dial with a brushed steel flange, a gray anthracite hour track, and a vertically brushed center. Positioned at 6 o'clock, the dial highlights New York and Paris, complemented by a blue second hand.
Using the ultra-thin Miyota 9039 automatic caliber, made in Japan and offering a 42-hour power reserve, Merci Instruments has succeeded in keeping the case thickness to just 9.8mm.t.
