In 2004, Audrey decided to embark on a journey to West Africa. It was in the north of Ghana, in the heart of the small town of Nyariga, that the idea of Muuñ took root.
During a stroll, Audrey discovered the traditional round Ghanaian basket and had a meaningful encounter: Tahiru, a passionate artisan. He cultivated the art of traditional straw weaving, explained his work, and shared his hope that his baskets would one day be sold in Europe at fair and equitable prices.
