In the 1970s, Brian Smith left Australia for California, inspired by surfing and the nonconformist lifestyle. He launched UGG after noticing the absence of sheepskin boots among local surfers. Partnered with Deckers Brands in 1995, UGG continues to innovate while preserving its rebellious spirit and unique heritage.
