This time, in the form of a genuine map of Paris (special taxi edition) with its original cover and a 100% reliable street index, Martin Parr invites us to follow him through the capital.
For three years, at the request of the Maison Européenne de la Photography (MEP), Martin Parr turned his lens on Parisians and photographed the Champs-Élysées, tourists, Bastille Day, fashion shows, the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, Paris Plage, museums and art fairs, and the Paris International Agricultural Show.
The result is some forty previously unpublished images and a few essential earlier shots—a true work-in-progress on Paris.
