Rocky Mountain Featherbed was founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, known as the "Cowboy State" in the United States, in the late 1960s. The company created its iconic down vest with a seamless single-piece leather yoke for cowboys. The idea for the yoke comes from the leather capes worn by Native Americans. Their down vests became famous for their cold resistance and heat retention characteristics, similar to featherbeds. Rocky Mountain attracts people worldwide across generations.
