In 2004, Audrey decided to embark on a journey to West Africa. It was in the northern part of Ghana, in the heart of the small town of Nyariga, that the idea for Muuñ took root.
By chance during a stroll, Audrey discovered the traditional Ghanaian round basket and met Tahiru, a passionate artisan. He practices the traditional art of straw weaving, explained his craft to her, and expressed his hope that his baskets would one day be sold in Europe at fair and equitable prices. The idea evolved, and a first confidential collection of straw baskets was presented. The models immediately appealed for their naturalness, quality, and style.
