In 2004, Audrey decided to go on a journey to West Africa. It was in the small town of Nyariga in Northern Ghana that the idea of Muuñ took root.
During a walk, Audrey discovered the traditional Ghanaian round basket and met Tahiru, a passionate craftsman. He cultivates the traditional art of straw weaving, explained his work to her, and shared his hope that his baskets would one day be marketed in Europe at fair and equitable prices. The idea developed, and a first discreet collection of straw baskets was presented. Right from the start, the models were appreciated for their naturalness, quality, and style.
